The MGW Portable Encoder family of industrial-grade high-density IPTV streaming appliances includes the high-density MGW Premium Encoder, the compact and rugged MGW Nano Encoder and the ultra-small MGW Pico Encoder.
The portable appliances feature a unique design with no moving parts, 100% silent and diverse range of video/audio inputs to support any type of IPTV, FMV and ISR applications. Optimized for low-latency distribution of HD and SD video sources, the portable encoders disseminate IP video at broadcast-quality resolutions up to full HD 1080p and at a wide range of bit rates and frame rates.
With processing power of up to 2 x HD or 5 x SD channels from multiple video sources or a single input with up to 4 secondary streams, MGW Portable Encoders support the highest video capacity of any small form factor, professional-grade H.264 encoder on the market. To maximize flexibility, they offer the broadest selection of video and audio inputs, including 3G, HD-SDI, SD-SDI, DVI, HDMI, S-Video and Composite. A built-in video matrix and scaler enable frame rates and resolutions of incoming feeds to be scaled and a single video source to be routed to multiple compression cores for simultaneous encoding at up to five different resolutions and frame rates, with optional on-the-fly HD source downscaling to SD.
MGW Portable appliances combine a rugged design that has no moving parts with real-time embedded video and metadata engines that provide the reliability and resiliency necessary to operate in harsh environments. With the MIL-STD certification - the units are optimized for mission critical ingestion and dissemination of Full Motion Video (FMV) with optional CoT and KLV metadata.
