SUMMARY:
Light & Motion Pro 5000 Overview
The Stella Pro 5000 RF Action Kit was put together by Light & Motion to help you maximize the creative output of this LED light. The kit includes a Stella Pro 5000 with a built-in EL-Skyport transceiver as well as a wireless remote that can control the fixture at distances up to 656'. To vary the quality of light, 4-way barndoors are included while 25-degree and 50-degree focus optics offer alternatives to the Pro 5000's 120-degree beam spread. The light has a rechargeable internal battery, but an AC power supply is included for situations where mains power is readily available. The kit also includes a YS Mount Pro, C-Stand Mount, 1/4"-20 adapter, a 6' extension cord, Glo Bulb for overhead lighting, and a High-Leverage Handle for secure mounting. It all fits in the provided Tenba BYOB 13 Packlite case.

Stella Pro 5000 RF spLED 5600K LED Light
The Stella 5000 RF spLED Light from Light & Motion is a daylight-balanced LED source that packs enough features to cause many users to call it their ideal on-camera source. The spLED designation indicates "single point" enhancements to the 29 emitters that Light & Motion has made to reduce the light field and eliminate multiple shadows that can plague LED fixtures. Light & Motion has also introduced RF technology via the built-in 10-frequency Elinchrom EL-Skyport transceiver. With a separately purchased EL-Remote Control for Stella Pro you can control the output settings of 20 lights from distances of up to 656'.
For location work, the Stella 5000 is hard to beat. With a very small form factor and weight of only 2.5 lb, it's barely noticeable in your kit case. What is noticeable is the clean, accurate color rendering output from the unit's flicker-free COB LED that gives it a rating of 90 CRI and 93 TLCI.
The Stella 5000 has a wide 120-degree beam that can be narrowed with the included 50-degree optic or softened with an optional diffuser. The fan-less design is dead quiet for sound-sensitive locations, while the light is dimmable either continuously or in steps. And the housing is durably built. Not only can it survive repeated dropping on concrete from a height of 3.3', but it's also waterproof to depths of 328 feet!
The unit is powered by a built-in battery that charges in 1.5 hours to 80% and 2 hours to full charge, giving you a run time of 90 - 375 minutes depending on the power selected. You can also run the light from a D-Tap external battery source for longer shoots. Additionally, you can use mains power anywhere in the world thanks to the inclusion of a multi-voltage AC power supply. The Stella 5000 also comes with a Speedring Gel Holder, YS Mount Pro, C-Stand Mount, and a High-Leverage Handle to quickly and easily secure your light on a stand or other support.
