The COLOR-SKOPAR 35mm F3.5 Aspherical VM is a high performance lightweight, compact wide-angle lens of advanced optical design. The lens features 6 elements in 4 groups with one double sided aspheric element and three elements of abnormal partial-dispersion glass producing outstanding images.
The retro styled lens barrel is designed to be very compact using 34mm filters, extending only 14mm from the lens mount. Weighing in at only 99g, this lightweight brings to mind rangefinder snap shooter 1930s shooting style.
The accessory metal hood is designed to be integrated with the aperture control ring of the lens and is equipped with an aperture indicator line when mounted.
To avoid increasing the overall length of the lens when used with this hood, a special thin-frame filter is also included, with a thickness of 1.1 mm from the lens filter thread. The lens cap is machined and the hood cap is made of deep-drawn metal. In addition to the beautiful exterior design of the lens itself, these tasteful accessories provide not only photographic pleasure but also the pride of ownership.
The minimum focusing distance is 0.7m. The lens has a covered focusing helical not seen in vintage lenses with this style of rotating helicoid and is designed so that the helicoid is not exposed to the outer lens barrel even when shooting at the minimum distance, making it resistant to dust and other external environment conditions.
The focus lever is equipped with an infinity position lock mechanism like vintage lenses, which is useful when operating the aperture ring or attaching and detaching the lens.
The infinity lock button is finished in chrome for silver and nickel for black paint.
