SUMMARY
The NexImage 10 Solar System Color Eyepiece Imager from Celestron is a powerful update from its earlier iteration with a larger and higher-resolution imaging sensor, longer exposure capability, and - most notably - high-speed USB 3.0 connection to your computer for fast data transfer. This color astroimager is designed to capture images of the Moon, planets, and the Sun (when used with the proper filter systems) within our solar system. It's compatible with any telescope that accepts 1.25" eyepieces and accessories, or you can directly connect it to a C-mount threaded back.
An ON Semi MT9J003 color CMOS sensor captures 3856 x 2764 resolution images with exposure speeds from 0.0001 to 10 seconds. Using a color imager lets you capture full-color images across the entire visual spectrum without having to attach or change filters. The included Registax software analyzes each frame of video, throws away the ones affected by atmospheric turbulence, and perfectly aligns the best frames. With the ability to tweak settings such as gamma, sharpness, RGB balance, and color mixing, the resulting stacked single image is bright, clear, and focused.
