Panasonic LUMIX S5IIX.
Offering fast, accurate phase hybrid autofocus, the LUMIX S5IIX mirrorless camera is designed to deliver excellent performance in both photo and video. The 24-megapixel 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor complies with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto-Focus) with 5-axis Dual I.S. 2 image stabilization and an imaging engine that's been developed to achieve high resolution, natural description, and approximately 2x higher-speed signal procession for high bit-rate video recording. With the high dynamic range and broad colors of a 14+ stop V-Log/V-Gamut capture, and an advanced heat dispersion mechanism for unlimited video recording and livestreaming, the S5IIX is developed to meet the demands of ambitious creators with an assertive shooting style. With 5.8K Pro-Res, Pro-Res internal, RAW over HDMI, Wireless/Wired IP streaming.
Features.
- 24-Megapixel 35mm Full-Frame CMOS Sensor: Developed to achieve high resolution, natural description, and approximately 2x higher-speed signal processing, powered by L2 Technology
- Fast, Accurate Phase Hybrid Autofocus: Advanced subject detection and metering technologies capture the target subject in focus even in adverse lighting conditions; once locked on the subject, it keeps tracking even with multiple moving objects
- Powerful Image Stabilization: In addition to combining I.S. in the camera body and lens, the 5-axis Dual I.S. 2 has powerful correction to allow 6.5-stop shutter speed
- Expressive Video Functionality: 14+ stop V-Log/V-Gamut capture delivers a high dynamic range and broad colors; in-camera photo and video color grading; 5.8K Pro-Res, Pro-Res internal, RAW over HDMI, Wireless/Wired IP streaming
- Unlimited Video Recording and Livestreaming: Heat dispersion mechanism combines a small fan and high-efficiency heat sink to achieve unlimited video recording and livestreaming while keeping the camera size compact
A unique zoom covering ultra-wide to short portrait-length fields of view, the Panasonic Lumix S 20-60mm f/3.5-5.6 is a sleek and versatile lens designed for full-frame L-mount mirrorless cameras. The distinct range of focal lengths is also complemented by flexible focusing capabilities, which permit working with subjects as close as 5.9" with a 0.43x magnification for near-macro performance. In terms of optics, the lens incorporates a series of aspherical, high refractive index, and low dispersion elements to control a variety of aberrations and realize a high degree of clarity and sharpness. A fluorine coating has been applied to the front element to reduce smudging and make it easier to clean and then lens also features a weather-sealed design for working in harsh environmental conditions. Additionally, suiting both photo and video applications, a stepping motor is featured, which affords fast, precise, and near-silent autofocus performance.
- Wide-to-short telephoto zoom is designed for full-frame L-mount mirrorless cameras, however can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a 30-90mm equivalent focal length range.
- Two aspherical elements and one ultra high refractive index (UHR) element, help to minimize distortions and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range in order to maintain edge-to-edge sharpness and illumination.
- Three extra-low dispersion elements greatly reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing in order to produce a high degree of clarity and color accuracy.
- Stepping AF motor delivers quick and quiet focusing performance that benefits both photo and video applications.
- Maximum magnification of 0.43x and a minimum focusing distance of 5.9" benefits working with close-up subjects.
- AF/MF switch permits quick changing between focusing modes.
- Splash, dust, and freezeproof design benefits working in inclement weather conditions down to 14°F.
- Fluorine coating has been applied to the front element to prevent dirt and oils from sticking to lens.
- Rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.
Firmware versions 3.0 for the S5 II and 2.0 for the S5 IIx introduce several notable upgrades, including updates to cloud storage, video recording, pre-burst shooting, autofocus, and image stabilization. Chief among the upgrades is the introduction of Frame.io connectivity to both LUMIX cameras.
